What is Involved
YOUR FIRST VISIT
(NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT)
On arrival you will be greeted by the reception staff who will show you to the waiting room. If you have not already done so, you will be asked to fill in our new patient registration and medical history form. If appropriate, we may take an OPG x-ray to aid diagnosis.
From the very first visit, our focus is on you. We want to know what your concerns are, and what you would like to achieve. Parents are warmly welcome to attend all appointments with young patients. At the initial consultation, we will provide a comprehensive orthodontic examination and appropriate treatment options.
Your questions and feedback are encouraged. You will receive a follow up letter confirming the orthodontic findings and treatments options available.

YOUR SECOND VISIT
(RECORDS APPOINTMENT)
If you wish to proceed with treatment, orthodontic records will be taken. This consists of photographs of your smile and teeth, a 3D scan of your teeth, and radiographs (X-Rays picture).
Dr. Barker will recommend the best treatment plan for you or your child, including any treatment alternatives that may be available. You will also receive a montage of photos and detailed letter confirming the treatment options available.
